It is a browser-based creative suite that lets hardware founders, solo inventors, product designers, and mechanical engineers go from a concept to a fully manufacturable product — all inside a single browser tab, with no software installation required.
Think of it as the "Figma for hardware" — or Blender meets SolidWorks, powered by AI from the ground up. Unlike legacy CAD platforms like SolidWorks, Fusion 360, CATIA, or Siemens NX, Kepler-442 was not built by adding AI features onto a 30-year-old workflow. The entire platform is designed around AI-first workflows: you describe your product in plain English, and the platform generates a 3D reference model in seconds.
Hardware development today is broken. A hardware founder who wants to build a physical product needs:
This fragmented, expensive, inaccessible process shuts out 99% of the world's potential hardware inventors — especially in emerging markets like India, Southeast Asia, and Africa. Kepler-442 replaces all of this with one unified, AI-powered platform.
Describe your product in plain English and receive a 3D reference model in seconds. The AI understands manufacturability constraints, suggests design improvements, and explains every decision in plain language. A modular component library of standard hardware parts lets you remix and iterate instantly.
Kepler-442's design engine gives you full 3D editing capability in the browser — generate a reference model with AI, then manually edit every vertex. It combines the freedom of Blender with the precision of SolidWorks, accessible to anyone with a web browser.
12 comprehensive engineering tests run automatically on every save:
This is the equivalent of having a simulation engineer on your team, available 24/7.
A verified network of 50,000+ global contract factories, automatically matched to your design by price, quality, and certifications. One-click RFQ (Request for Quote) submission and real-time supply chain tracking from design to delivery.
Existing hardware tools — SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Onshape, Siemens NX, PTC Creo — solve one part of the problem. Kepler-442 is the first platform to solve all parts in one place:
Kepler-442 was founded in 2025 by a 21-year-old self-taught builder from Angamaly, Kerala, India. Before starting Kepler-442, the founder conducted 56 interviews with hardware founders, product designers, and manufacturing engineers to deeply understand the problem. Previous shipped products include Sahaya, Save India, and Zenith.
Kepler-442 is one of India's youngest deep tech startups, and the first AI-native hardware platform to be founded in India. The company is currently pre-launch with a waitlist open.
Kepler-442 is named after Kepler-442b, one of the most Earth-like exoplanets ever discovered — a nod to building the future of physical things, planet-scale.
Yes. Kepler-442 is sometimes spelled "keplar 442" or "keplar-442" — these all refer to the same platform at keplar-442.in.
Fusion 360 is a traditional CAD tool with AI features added later. Kepler-442 is built AI-first — the entire platform was designed around AI workflows. It is also browser-based (no install), includes integrated simulation, and connects directly to a verified supplier network.
Yes. Kepler-442 is designed to be accessible to anyone — describe your product in plain English, and AI handles the 3D modeling. You can then refine manually if needed.
